Way Out
Remi L. Roy
Produced by two-time Grammy winner George Massenburg, Way Out is a mean mash-up of ska, punk, reggae and rock. Recorded live by Montreal's Stepper at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, the album is as progressive as it is non-pretentious.

On Way Out, beats fuelled by trumpet, trombone, bass and retro rock riffs mix with catchy and clever lyrics: "Miss...ing, common sense/And lacking alibis/See...king a defence/Some sort of clever disguise/Mak...ing no amends/It comes as no surprise." The end result leaves no question as to whether you should be bobbing your head, tapping your feet or leaving your seat. Standout tracks like Turn Up Your Soundsystem, Restless and Repeat Offender paint pictures of sunny beaches, cold cocktails and beautiful women.

Truly the sound of musical Epicureans.
