Nicky Popovic

Known for his smooth tone and melodic sensibilities, Nicky Popovic is one of the long-standing players in the Montreal ska scene. Over the past twelve years he has performed and recorded trombone with many talented groups and artists, most notably with iconic Montreal bands General Rudie, The Planet Smashers, The Fabulous Lolo Sings Rocksteady, and currently, with Stepper.

He has also appeared on records by Whiteroom, Jah Cutta, Long Shen Dao and One Night Band to name a few, and has performed with groups including Hollerado, Black Diamond Bay, and The Stomp All- Stars.

Over his career Nicky has toured extensively across Canada and the United States, playing Ska Festivals, Jazz Festivals, and stadium shows.
